Merbau (Intsia,

Merbau is a medium-brown colored wood with reddish-orange highlights
with a course graining. These pieces exhibit yellow "flecking" in
the pores. The wood undergoes a medium degree of color change from
fresh milled and darkens over time to the deeper orange-brown color.
It has good strength properties comparable to European Beech and
better than American Oak.
