Ash
Our American Gothic Ash is often used as a more economical
substitute for Chestnut. With its flowing grain patterns and rich
color, this floor is elegant and
stunning.

between the lighter planed and darker patinated areas. We do also

Beech
Reclaimed from barn timbers, beech has a lighter color that will
brighten any room. It typically shows many insect marks and may have
a blush or two (a faint pink tinge) in places. A great flooring
choice for high traffic areas or dog & kid occupied rooms.

Chestnut
Chestnut was decimated by a fungal blight in the early/mid 20thC and
is no longer available as a fresh-sawn wood. We salvage old barns in
order to bring you this quintessential American species and mill it
with the respect it deserves.Available In:

Reclaimed Elm
Red elm is another one of those species that is simply unavailable
from a regular lumber yard. It exhibits a beautiful flame-like grain
pattern with a slight iridescence depending on illumination.
Grey elm did not succumb to Dutch Elm
Disease, unlike like its sister species, we encounter both when we
salvage old barns.

Hickory
Reclaimed hickory gives a truly dramatic look to a floor due to its
contrasting knots and sapwood. Hard as nails, it wears superbly and
is a great choice for anywhere that will house dogs or kids.

Maple
I guess we all mellow with age and reclaimed maple is no exception
to the rule. Whereas fresh sawn maple can often have a harsh,
bleached look, it's reclaimed counterpart has more honeyed tones,
along with the insect tracks, nail holes and possibly a little
spalting.

Reclaimed Oak
The traditional choice, we offer either red or white oak flooring
(or will gladly combine the species to produce even more contrast).
Our Settler's Plank produces a rugged look while our American Gothic
grade has just enough character to ensure it won't be mistaken for a
mass-produced oak floor. The degree and type of character is
dependent on source - no two floors are alike but we'll do our best
to accommodate special requests.

Reclaimed
Australian Jarrah
Salvaged from Australian woolen mills, our Reclaimed Jarrah has the
look of rainforest-grown Mahogany. A strong, dense wood with a rich
grain and fine details, Jarrah works well as boardstock for
furniture and due to its hardness, makes terrific flooring.
Our reclaimed Jarrah is a mix of Jarrah
and Karri woods, both of the Eucalyptus family. Unless you handle
this wood every day, for all practical purposes the woods are
indistinguishable. For that reason, we refer to both woods as “Jarrah,”
as it is the more common species we sell.
